Toxicokinetic of phenothrin in rabbits
نویسندگان
چکیده
The toxicokinetics of single dose phenothrin were examined in rabbits. For this aim, a total 14 New Zealand breed, 2 to 2.5 kg body weight, 6 month-old female rabbits used. animals divided into two groups and each group had 7 animals. Phenothrin was administered intravenously animal 1, at 10 mg/kg b.w. orally the same dose. Dimethyl sulfoxide used as solvent application phenothrin. Plasma levels measured by gas chromatography equipped with an ECD detector. Toxicokinetic evaluations made according plasma level-time curve. found be distributed two-compartment open model. values of elimination half-life (t1/2β), mean residence time (MRT) area under curve (AUC0→∞) after intravenous administration 2.57 ± 0.10 h, 2.79 0.09 h 6893.05 261.26 ng/h/mL, respectively. On other hand, maximum concentration (Cmax), reach Cmax (tmax), t1/2β, MRT AUC0→∞ oral 185.71 8.21 ng/mL, 1.21 0.20 4.24 0.39 6.65 0.54 1054.04 65.90 bioavailability calculated 15.29%. Mean short low. This may one reasons why is included safe pesticides.

Toxicity of δ-phenothrin and resmethrin to non-target insects
BACKGROUND: The susceptibility of adult house cricket, Acheta domesticus (L.), adult convergent lady beetle, Hippodamia convergens (Guérin-Méneville), and larval fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (JE Smith), to resmethrin and δ-phenothrin synergized with piperonyl butoxide (PBO) was evaluated in a laboratory bioassay procedure. RESULTS: The 1 day LC50 values for resmethrin + PBO were 23.2, 3...
متن کاملComparison of phenothrin mousse, phenothrin lotion, and wet-combing for treatment of head louse infestation in the UK: a pragmatic randomised, controlled, assessor blind trial
In this investigation of effectiveness of an alternative pediculicide dosage form, we recruited 228 children and 50 adult participants from Bedfordshire, UK, to a randomised, controlled, assessor blind trial comparing two insecticide products with mechanical removal of lice as a control group. Participants using insecticide were treated with either the investigative 0.5% phenothrin mousse, for...
متن کاملPhysiologically Based Toxicokinetic (PBTK) Modeling in Ecotoxicology
Physiologically based toxicokinetic [(PBTK), or alternatively referred to as physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK)] models are quantitative descriptions of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of chemicals in biota. PBTK models are increasingly being used as an effective tool for designing toxicology experiments and for conducting extrapolations essential for risk assessme...
متن کاملToxicokinetic models and their applications
In this paper toxicokinetics was examined. Chemical distribution, absorption and elimination in the living organism were investigated. The aim of this paper kinetic of toxic substance during exposure in a biological system was studied. Several toxicokinetic models using physiological and biochemical parameters were derived. Physiologically based toxicokinetic models and similar pharmacokinetic ...
